I’m a professional animator living in Calgary, Alberta. I’ve been working in the industry for about 5 years now, including the opportunity to teach animation overseas. Unfortunately, just freelancing at the moment, and trying to make ends meet. I never really started to take an interest in drawing until about grade 11, when I just started doing it all the time. Eventually I got good enough to convince myself I could actually make a career out of it. The best feeling in the world is getting up and knowing all you have to do for work today is draw! I’m actually pretty shy around people I don’t know, and I have the artists curse of thinking all my stuff SUCKS, so its taken me this long to finally step out there and try something like this.

I’ve always loved gaming, and one of my favorite pastimes is actually watching people play games while I draw. Yeah, its actually entertaining to me! I started out with Final Fantasy XI, and when WoW came out with the open beta and I could actually KILL something on my own, I was hooked. A lot of my in-game time was spent with Vas, (except when he decided to level ahead of me when Blood Elves first came out. He knows better now though) so making a comic based on our characters is really a no-brainer.

I’m the kind of person that’ll charge recklessly into a trash pack or a group of Alliance and not think to consider whether or not my healer has mana or whether or not she’s in range of me.  I learned long before the release of even Warcraft III that my love for this universe and these stories extends far beyond my hard drive,  and I’m an avid collector of posters, models, books, comics, and pretty much anything else that bears either the Blizzard logo or Warcraft typeface.

I spend a lot of my time writing my own short stories both in and out of the Warcraft universe, and over the course of my World of Warcraft career, I’ve met some of the most amazing players and incredible people–it was only a matter of time before I convinced this particular one of them to embark on just another Warcraft related adventure.  And that’s exactly what this is to me.  An adventure.  It’s one more story I get to tell about my experiences in this game, with these players and people, and in particular, it’s one more adventure I get to share with my best friend and inspiration, Fyreuni.
