Okay, so I’m sure for the vast majority of you this is a pretty common result of your Brewfest Efforts. I know it is mine. All I’ve gotten is just the frost badges (and I’m sitting on 600 of them already, so yeah…) And then again, I’m sure I’m about to get a lot of comments about all you (expletive deleted)s who actually GOT the ram or kodo this year. Ironically, I went to kill Coren right after I finished the comic last night and another member in my part got the kodo. So to him and everyone else who got one, congratulations I say, through gritted teeth and a fake smile!
So, sorry the comic is kind of sparse today. I’m moving tomorrow, and I’m not even done packing yet. Needed as much time as possible to get more packing in last night, so yeah. Small one. Its actually kinda funny. I was doing my sketches for the Daily Quests Comic Book orders that I had gotten last week, and I ended up sketching this little comic out in it. When I closed it up and sent it off, I was all, you know, that wasn’t too bad! I should make a real comic of it! So here it is. Worked out well since as I said, I had NO time to do a comic this week.

EDIT: Okay, so no sooner did I post this comic do I go on WoW to kill Coren, and guess what drops. THE SWIFT BREWFEST RAM!!! I’m SUPER excited and happy, but WAY TO MAKE A LIAR OUT OF ME BLIZZARD!!!

I’ve killed Coren every day since the event started and no mount for me either, I’ve gotten 7 Tankards O’ Terror though. I’d still rather have the mounts.
That’s nothing. My main’s a Mage but have only gotten the remote. Today on my DK I got the Kodo. Then I went on my Paladin to give it another try. Ram. My Mage with over 50 mounts, and not a single one. Oye.

Not nearly as bad as having to wear that [Discarded Bag of Entrails] you found in ICC because it’s somehow a more better than the helmet you are currently wearing. Thankfully, any kitty druid [un]lucky enough to get it doesn’t have to see it much… but if they left “Show Helm” checked……..

Grats on the ram mount, had the same feeling that despite killing Doren daily I wouldn’t get any of the mounts this year. But lady luck smiled at me too when she gave me the kodo :)

Hey, some of us would rather like the 600+ Frost Badges. Not everyone is a four-year player who’s been at max level longer than not. :P I’ve barely got two pieces of Tier 10 gear over a year after starting, and no I do not raid, I work full-time and actually get more than 6 hours of sleep per planetary revolution, so nyaahhh. :P
;) Ah, but I keed, I keed. And yes, I saw where you got the Ram. I’m telling you, the Game watches, the game KNOWS. The other day doing randoms my group was talking about sunken temple and the very next random WAS that one. Also, certain drops happen strangely in relation to their mentioning.

Last year, my main got the ram. This year…
Priest got the ram and the kodo FROM THE SAME BAG. Then got ANOTHER kodo…
Druid got the ram. Then got the kodo. Then got ANOTHER ram…
Paladin got the kodo.
And my main… STILL DOESN’T HAVE THE KODO! >.> I got 98 mounts, but the kodo ain’t one (to paraphrase Jay Z).

I managed to get the ram on my only 80, which was nice. I would have preferred the Kodo though as it’s the only Kodo available to Ally characters while I can just keep bribing the dwarves with cloth to let me ride rams :\
Well i got the ram but i dont use it (the Troll looks weird riding a ram) but i wanted the Kodo really bad :(

I got the ram this year…and then the kodo…which I already had from last year. So….yeah. Kind of wishing that could have gone to someone who didn’t have it.

I have not…..i repeat HAVE NOT….looted a grand total 4 rams and 2 kodos. Not to mention the 7 tankards i did “not” loot. I think the tankard drop rate needs to be adjusted, down to 50g on both servers i’m on *shakes head sadly*
I don’t want to seem like I’m bragging, but this year I’ve gotten 6 mounts (4 kodos, 2 rams) on various of my toons – no duplicates!
I always imagined it fossilized, not…still smelly, but I suppose you’re right, nothing in the name says “Fossilized Pickled Egg” ….ewwww….
At least you didn’t get both mounts on your alt like myself whereas my main got zilch.
Here’s one for you. I forgot to open the Keg Shaped Treasure chest earlier last week. That same day I got a beta invite and after the long installation I logged on and saw I had it in my bags. I right-clicked it expecting to get my 2 frost badges and guess what I get…a Swift Brewfest Kodo. On the beta. How worthless. >.<
I actually obtained Kodo AND a Ram from the same drop on my Hunter. Already had the Kodo, so it was a waste, but still, both mounts from one drop. What’re the odds?

I thought they upped the drop rate this year, which made me both excited and sad. I got the ram on all 4 of my 80s, although I was only hoping for it on my main, a mage. xD Glad Blizzard made a liar out of you! Now, get that kodo!

I think there are a lot of players that were highly disappointed in this year’s Brewfest. It’s hard enough when a holiday boss only drops rare loot, but it’s even worse when they decided to make it a gamble on top of that. At least back in BC you could grind for what you wanted. Dedication mattered. Patience and persistence mattered. Now all it is is a gamble. Step in like get your daily lotto ticket — Oops! Sorry! You lost! Pretty much, as if a few days out of the year is rare enough to farm something, sheesh!
I’m pretty well sure it’s a money tactic. They don’t want SO many people on during ‘holidays’ for fear of server overload so they make it so people only need to be on for an hour at most. Thus still receiving the same payment from players subscriptions, but lowering the wear, tear and load on their servers. It’s the same reason they’ve turned to catering to the casual player. “Don’t try and make your money worth it by playing for hours a day! Pay us the same amount as those hard working players and YOU TOO can buy your tier!” ….. Ok rant over I’ll shut up now. *sigh*
