Alright, sorry for the late comic! Took a lot more work than I had expected! Yeah, Fyre is an admitted mount-aholic. I only wish they had made the mount tab sooner so I could have had a few more…the Brewfest Ram comes to mind back when you could collect it with tickets…I remember I had enough to get it, but I didn’t want it to take up bank space when I’d probably never use it *sadface* Oh well. Yeah, Fyre has the 100 mount achievement. I think shes sitting at 109 right now. Theres still so many I need/want too. Screw the Oracles btw.
Other than that, the only other interesting news is that the script for Emergency Kindergarten: Lesson 2 has been finalized! Next step is recording. Shouldn’t be too hard, hardest part is finding the time! I’m thinking about taking a week off from the comic to focus on the animation, using the time I usually spend on the comic to work on the animation. I haven’t quite decided on that yet though…I’ll just keep plugging away when time allows!

I really like the way Fyre looks on her carpet :) And it’s really too bad the Horde flying mounts don’t look like Vas’ one, I would totally fly on that. The ones they have by default are so blah. BLAH!

As someone who is very slowly working my way to 100 mounts, I always did wonder where they were all kept. I imagined your mounts being housed in some giant stable that functioned kind of like how the bags/inventory system works. Invisible, accesible from any location, and will only work for you. Like the bags, it would constantly grow or expand if needed, but would exist in some other dimension so you could get to it whenever or wherever you wanted. But that’s just my idea, and I love the way you did the last panel.
And I know what you mean abot the mounts tab being awesome, but too late. I lost a lot of good mounts during BC when I switched most of my old mounts for the shiny new Talbuks… It was worth it though. I kept a few of the originals in the bank, but I’ll still never feel right after ‘abandoning’ some of my worgs and kodos in Nagrand.

While I am slowly collecting mounts too, I claim my toon only has two for RP purposes. The Turbo-Flying Machine & the Mechano-Hog. I also insist they store into convenient cubes/boxes much like the Jetson’s car (laws of physics be damned!).

Bit of a collector too… sort of. I wouldn’t have gotten 50 mounts if it weren’t for that Albino Drake incentive, but it was a good thing that incentive was there since it made me get gazelles… I mean talbuks, which quickly replaced Night Elf cats as my favorite ground mount. Hippogryphs quickly became my favorite air mount when 3.2 (or was it 3.3?) finally gave them a ground-run animation, among other things (they have cute animations when you’re just standing on the ground doing nothing).
To quote Fyreuni “Screw the Oracles btw.” I’m with you on that one. My girl friend got that [censored] mount from her THIRD egg…… I have yet to see anything but 98,765 (I may have exaggerated a bit here) old egg yolks. But on the other hand I have gotten the polar bear mount to drop 3 times….on the same toon. lol.
Hmm, did you get the tickets and not get the hand stamp you needed to go buy em, or did you get the stamp and just not bought the ram off the vendor? If it’s the latter, you can still buy it and the slower ram too.

i no a guy who had 100 mounts but there was a bug and the achivment was at 99 he was stuck with that for a month b4 it got fixed ha
I also have over 100 mounts (the blue thing was the incentive for me) got the green mount after a much too long period of time ( it was the one that pushed me over, surprise surprise) but the dang polar bear would not drop till last mont (how long has wrath been out :P

I actually had something like this as part of an RP character. My Blood Elf paladin is the son of a rich retired general, and I justified his big mount collection (60+ last time I checked) by saying he had a ranch back in Quel’thalas and could have a servant fetch a specific mount whenever he wanted to switch. I also had stories about how he had befriended his various drakes.
Ahh, fun times.

Oh and if you don’t already have it, I’d recommend looking into the Livestock mod. Allows you to make custom macros to summon certain mounts certain places. Like a mount key that mounts a flying mount in areas you can fly and a ground mount in areas you can’t. Or you can set it to summon your Swift Razzashi Raptor if you mount in Un’Goro. Or so on.
Or if you’re just like me and have a hard time choosing mounts, you can tell it to just pick one at random from a list of mounts you choose.
Course, maybe you have it already. But to anyone else who is a mount-aholic, just a suggestion =P

I’m this way with Mounts on my Hunter, and mini pets on my Mage. I think I’m up to 53 mounts, just got the albino drake, and then the much prettier blue drake dropped in the Oculus for me :) My favourites are still my nether rays though; they’re so unique!
I still have my fingers crossed that one of the upgrades in Cata will allow me to *tame* a mount. It would be beyond cool to ride around Dalaran on my devilsaur!
I have just 5 mounts to go; the carpets and the engineering mounts here I come. Too bad my flight and travel forms don’t count. I will miss my tree form although I will be glad moonkin is getting a facelift. Love the comic!

I feel your pain. I’m at 119 mounts, and those stupid Oracles keep selling me dud eggs. Don’t get me started on the Blue Drake from Oculus! Ever notice how these “special” mounts keep dropping for the people who don’t care? It’s like Blizz KNOWS….
The key to getting 100 mount is to be exalted with ALL your factions. Best way of doing that is by doing Trial of the Crusader dailies.
