Alright, so I’m going to state right off the bat that I love my Guild. We are a really tight-knit group of people who enjoy the game, and still play it for the fun, but we all want to still see the end game content. There are only about 11 of us, and we’re all in that time of life when you’re either starting your career, or starting a family, or in the case of one of us, taking care of your family! What that means in the long run is that we don’t have a ton of time to play with RL stuff going on, but we are a guild that values quality over quantity. We only raid two nights a week, with optional alt raids on the weekends, and for all that’s worth, we’re pretty successful.
But it’s not just what we are able to get done in our short raid times that make this Guild so awesome. It’s the people in the guild. We’re all really good friends. In fact, I think there’s only two people in the main raiding core that I haven’t met personally! We actually don’t have any Guild drama. We are all mature players who get along great with each other. And the best part about that is that we can joke with each other while we are raiding. And do we ever! Between Banana Bunkers, Canadian Maple Cookies, and well, the complain department, we have a lot of fun when we raid.
I don’t even remember where the complain department came from, but apparently, I’m it for the Guild! We joke about it, and they send me fake complaints, and I tell them I’m totally listening, just like a real complaint department does! Smile and nod! That’s my policy! Its funny because knowing that *I’m* the complaint department, the guild knows me well enough that I totally don’t care about their complaints.
Anyway, a quick note about the Banana Bunkers…Weoh promised us all Banana Bunkers if we killed the Lich King about two weeks ago. Well, apparently motivation works because even though we hadn’t downed him before then, we one shot him that night. Weoh, true to his word, actually bought everyone in the guild Banana Bunkers. And let me tell you. That thing looks even more phallic in real life…I feel dirty just holding that thing… >_>
Well, at least being complained TO isn’t so bad. Our guild tends to (jokingly) blame everything on our original GM, even though he hasn’t played since December. <_<

I would actually use one of these for my kid’s lunches… they are not gentle on their lunch boxes and don’t want to eat squishy bananas. BUT I’d feel guilty sending them to school with such an odd looking thing. O.o

It is all fun and games until somebody drives the twelve hours to the guild mates house and gives them a wedgie.
Or when the above mentioned MAGE drops all of his portals ontop of the one to Dalaran at Light’s Hammer inside ICC!

One of the mages in my guild likes to play “portal roulette” she’ll drop ALL of her portals on one spot and then you’re just S.O.L if you don’t get where you want to go!
I’ll mention to her about dropping them in Light’s Hammer though….
Yeah we play portal roulette after most of our raids. It’s a fun way to end the night…especially if we get frustrated after doing something stupid for a while (no one may talk to me anout all you can eat…).
The best part is that there are 2 ways to win!
1) get the Dalaran portal!
2) End up anywhere the MAGE does ;)

Noob question, what are they fighting over? being bitten?
The Lana’thel encounter has a mechanic in which a DPS is inflicted with a vampirism debuff that increases their damage and decreases their threat, but it requires them to pass the debuff to another player every minute or so by biting them, inflicting them with vampirism as well.
It’s supposed to be an affliction, but they like it. It’s so wrong. So so wrong.

I’d like to get to dps that fight one day. Being the MT means only getting bit with the last group if that :\
Trying to get the blood infusion done for one of our ret pallies this week, we completely flubbed the run-in and somehow our soak tank got the first bite. Was kinda fun watching the dps all running to her to get bitten, instead of vice versa. So think positive! Tanks can get bitten early!

That can only happen if your off tank is dealing damage to her prior to the bite. You can manipulate who’s bitten first by having that person DPS alone while the tank builds threat. The tank cannot be her bite target as he’s also her threat target, and nobody else has dealt damage to her, therefore the roll is decided before it’s parsed.
If you don’t want to run the risk of your off tank being bitten, have him simply stand with the tank so that Blood Mirror is active and do nothing until the bite’s been administered.
We did have just me, the soak tank, and the ret pally run in. Ret pally gets blood mirror…and then proceeds to pull aggro (I am apparently terrible. >.<). Between the aggro pull and both myself and the soak tank taunting to try to keep the ret pally from becoming a smear on the floor, I couldn't begin to tell you what her aggro table looked like when the first bite went out. I still loved it, because now I know how I'm getting my blood infusion done *grins wickedly*
stupid question but for 25 who gets the first bite 2nd or third on threat? cause my guildie says its 3rd on threat which i think is a load of crap

According to Vas its a DPS thing that if the vampire queen bits you your dps go up and you have to bite someone else or youll end up wiping the raid

Sadly this is my job in my guild too.
Ah, raiding. The only WoW PvE experience I could never fully appreciate. Reliable raiding is nigh impossible to find when you can only raid on weekends, and have no taste for high-profanity guilds, so my realm will likely be permanently short one feral druid.
On the plus side, this is time I can spend on more constructive things!…… like collecting all the stars in Super Mario Galaxy 2. Wahahaha! =P
I feel for that lock – I never seem to get bitten. Unless I get a lucky Flame Shock crit off, blow all my cooldowns, and pop a speed pot – thus being the first one bitten. I’ve seen the fight many times where I’m standing there DPSing my big blue behind off and people are biting healers. :-/
Shammys (especially the elemental sort) don’t get any love… :(
Biting the healers in this fight is just wasteful (unless its the last round and there is no one left to bite)! The bite does absolutely *nothing* for a healer. Its a mechanic to allow the dps to pump out enough damage in the time allowed before she kills everyone, or you end up with a ton of mind controlled people. If your group is biting healers before dps, I’d advise them to rethink their strategy >.<.
People showing a lack of situational awareness isn’t a strategy.
I’ve finally seen more of Icecrown Citadel than just Marrowgar. I’ve also done a faction change and lost my guild, so it might be awhile before I raid again.

ah, the blood queen fight. First time I went in there we two-shotted her. Fun fight, but as the damage soak, I never get bitten =(…..half the dps doesnt even get bitten half the time, since we down her so fast.
Also, I envy your tight-knit circle. I’m the only Canadian in my raid group, so if they ever get together, I’m that one left in the great muddy north.

while on ICC topic my guild finally killed LK on 10man imo bout time cause we kept locking it and im glad i can get frost badges again the downside is hackers are annoying me more since i got kingslayer (its REALLY annoying)
Ahh, the good old complaint depo, sounds a lot like something my guild would come up with. And joking around in raids is probably what keeps it the most fun for me and mah guild, your guild sounds rather similar to mine in how it operates and our take on raiding.

The complain department reminds me of guidence at a school. “I’m telling you I don’t want to talk to you!” “Uh huh…and how are things going?” And you litterly have to bite you party/group mates?! Dude that’s wrong!

they are pretty much fighting over who gets better DPS first *in a nutshell*
The bite increases damage by 100% so for my hunter i start to do about 20k damage if I’m first bite. The bite also makes it so you don’t generate aggro and you heal yourself for 15% of the damage you deal. So basically if you are bitten then you can go balls to the walls until you have to bite someone else (1 minute after bite) It sounds like Havoc has a constant first bite so then the second bite is random. My guild all our dps goes all out and i usually get first bite :D MM hunter win!
Man you guys must get tons of fan mail on ur server xD I remember that fight was always fun :P never got bitten though. Fight ended too quick :(
I’m the poor sod who always plays the part of the tank, thus I never get bitten. Although it is cool to see your guildies flapping about like headless chickens on who to bite. We downed her with 1 dps and healer dead and 15 secs left on her enrage timer. Lucky or what?! Keep up with the great work on the comic!
