Alright! So how many of you can honestly tell me you didn’t do this as a kid, pretended certain tiles were safe, and the rest was some horrbile death if you stepped on it. Particularly when your Mom dragged you to the mall and you didn’t want to go! Who knew we were all just preparing ourselves for the Void Zone mechanic in WoW! Too bad some of us still have issues with winning that game!
This is another Milestone comic, as it is the 25th one! Next achievement unlocked at 50! Again, sorry its been so late lately, but I guess those crossed fingers all you guys did last week worked! I did get another freelance job. Its an “as needed” character design gig, so its right up my alley. I’m hoping things will get really busy over there and they will just send a bunch of stuff my way! :D Anyway, not much else to say this week, so have a great weekend everyone!

Lol, same. While taking long walks, I sometimes look down at the sidewalk and I unconciously start avoiding cracks and the line between the concrete segments. I just smile to myself when i realize what im doing.

This comic reminds me of my healing mantra for every single boss fight and instance ‘avoid the floor, avoid the walls, avoid the mobs, dont die, heal shit.’ pretty successful tbh, just about sums up everything a druid’s gotta do.

People love using that as an ‘awareness meter’ whether you’re alert in dodging the waves…aside from the Slime Frogger, which has claimed countless unsuspecting lagged players. *snerks*

Great comic as always, but… err… well… excuse to bother you with that, BUT when Vas and Fyr were child, Arthas still haven’t destroy the sunwell (and the entire region in the same move, but that’s a detail), so they can’t BE “blood elves” already, so their eye can’t be glowing green if they’re still “High Elves”. Do you see my point ?
It was a design choice. I was worried enough people wouldn’t recognize Fyre and Vas as kids, so I did everything I could to make sure they were recognizable!

But I never pretended it was lava, I didn’t like stepping on cracks between tiles in the mall.
My mom used to ask me “What are you doing, sweetie?” and I’d just say somthing like “Making sure the cracks don’t break my back”

As a lore buff I think I should point out one oversight… There is no way they were Blood Elves as children. Blood elves haven’t been around long enough. They’ve only existed since the 3rd war ended and for sometime still had high elf eyes. Yes I know this is random but it just bugged me.
That’s not necessarily completely true. The Sin’dorei as a faction have only existed for as long as it’s been since Kael’thas named them, but the green eyes are an indication of an addiction to the arcane–they’re not necessarily indicative of being anything else. It’s not outside of the realm of possibility that, even as children, Vas and Fyre were addicted to magic.
That being said, like Fyreuni mentioned earlier, it was a design choice so that there would be no mistaking them as children.
The green eyes are from an addiction to Fel Magic, not Arcane Magic. Prior to the war, the Elves had the Sunwell and didn’t need Fel Magic. Check out Blood Elf for more information about it.
But, I agree it was a sound design choice, since green eyes are one of the most noticeable components of a Blood Elf.

The logic applies in principle if not in actuality. To say that it was impossible for an elf to be addicted to Fel magic simply because the Sunwell exists is just as silly as anything else, so in the end it doesn’t really matter.
That and that Monster Guide went out of print before Burning Crusade was released in which a lot of Sin’dorei lore was rewritten and retconned.
