Ever wonder why some of these elders are where they are? Like why are you haning out in the middle of some ruins in a swamp…? I dunno, but I know I wondered it when I went traipsing all over azeroth, and I remember this being one of the more annoying elders to go find, and I can just imagine something like this would happen!
Man, what a week. First of all, sorry for the late comic, but if any of you follow the Daily Quests twitter feed, you’ll know that DQ has been experiencing some major server issues lately. Vas has been working super hard with Godaddy to fix everything back up. We thought it was working, and then it would go down, and then some people can get to the site but not others…man, it was a lot of work. Heck *I* couldn’t even get to the site until just this morning. That in part is why the comic is a little late this week. Once again, better late than never! :D
Just a quick thank you to everyone as we were dealing with the site issues. No one likes to come a site and find it inaccesable. Me least of all. Again, I wanted to apologise for the inconvenience, and I hope all the issues are solved for now!
The other reson is that I had another “homework” assignment for a potential job, so I was working on that on Thursday/Friday instead of the comic. As you know from last weeks post, finding employment is my number one priority right now, so I was more than happy to work on it! Still a day late on the comic isn’t too bad! If you are curious, I was asked to show if I can adapt to different styles, and was asked to draw an Indiana Jones themed artwork in the Venture Brothers style. Now, I’m familiar with both shows, but not as comfortable with either to make this an easy assignment. It was fun and challenging for me though, and something I felt was really good practice for me. For those interested, heres the pic I did:
I think it was pretty succesful, and I’m hoping to hear back from them some time next week. I have my fingers crossed!
Lastly, I’m sure a few of you have noticed that we have a new contributor to Daily Quests! I want to extend a heartfelt welcome to Ararat, who will be writing a weekly Raid blog featured here on DQ! Ararat is one of the officers at Blood Legion and also a good friend of Vas and I. With Blood Legion being one of the top US guilds, Ararat will be a wealth of information when it comes to raiding. Make sure to check his raid posts starting next week on Wednesdays. Vas’ Lore posts will now be moved to Mondays, so there will be a few more things to read when you’re visiting the site from now on!

Oh wow! That drawing is awesome! I totally love your cartoon style! More!
I like it! Nice job.
I really like that drawing! Good job =)
Hey what server are the DQ team on? On the off chance we’ll bump into you…
… that or the real hardcore fans start stalking you in game. Either way.
Like the water effects this week.
Mauradon has to be the worst location for an elder…hands down.
Great job on the drawing, if that doesn’t put you in the running for the jog something’s wrong.
Great work, the drawing looks great! Good luck with the job! :)
Love the drawing! :D
And YES. A million times YES. I’ve only got [Elders of the Dungeons] left to do, and I always wondered that if they want you to visit them so badly, why are they in like, the buttcrack of the continents? Geez, guys!
Also, I’m glad you got GoDaddy to smarten up. Man, those guys annoy me….
Even their fellow elders don’t know. Ask some of the out-in-the-open-world elders where other elders are, and sometimes you get the answer:
“Elder [So and so], for reasons I do not understand, is getting her feet wet in the Sunken Temple.”
“Elder [Someone else], for some unfathomable reason, is exploring the depths of Maraudon.”
And so on.
Very nicely done (both the comic and the cartoon still). I hope those site problems get clear up soon, they are annoying!
Nice! I love the art work! I wish you lots of luck
First off, want to say I enjoy the comic and all. :)
This is probably nitpicky and all but I was trying to read that article done by your guest writer and I found the orange background to be….distracting? More or less, it hurts my eyes to read such a large amount of text on this colour. So I think the articles aren’t a bad idea, but I’m not sure the background of the website makes reading them a good thing.
HIRED !
Brilliant picture! and Great comic as always!
It’s seeing your work that makes me wish i could draw xD
As if the travel to the dungeons isn’t bad enough, some of them are in the most obscure locations inside the dungeon. I had no trouble finding the Sunken Temple Elder, but the one in Utgarde Keep took me for freaking ever.
I’m now an Elder, and personally glad to have this holiday over with.
On a side note, Indy and Venture Bros. isn’t an easy combination (at least not one I would have come up with), but I think you pulled it off nicely. Good luck getting the job. :)
I often wondered the same thing, why are the elders in these hard to reach places? Is it an elaborate joke played by the elderly on the young?
still hear that high pitched “Indieeeeeeeeee!” I think that pretty much means you did a fine job
It is kinda odd too.
