Finally, Vas gets a bit of revenge for all the beatings he’s taken lately. Of course, he’s probably going to get a kick in the knee in about 5 minutes when Fyre realizes whats going on. So todays comic is based on the Poached, Scrambled, or Raw quest, and our Special Guest today is Weohstan, our guilds Tank. It is also based on actual events when I was doing the quest. I think Vas and I had just finished Karazhan and I thought I’d just knock out the raptor daily quickly. Portal to Tanaris, get the quest, run to the Noxious Lair…and none of the eggs are sparkling. I dropped the quest twice, and was bitching about it on vent, and it hits me like a ton of bricks. I feel rightfully stupid as I leave the raid, and eggs begin to sparkle again (its the shell of a killer, Bella!) *ahem*
I KNOW you all have done this too! Wandered around killing hundreds of quest mobs, wondering why the drop rate is do damned low for this quest, when you look down and notice you’re in a party, and think, why am I in a party again? OH CRAP! I’ve done it…more times than I can count. Not much more to say about this comic this week, except that I believe I have drawn the cutest baby raptor ever! ^_^
Oh, this one is awsome! and your baby Venomhide is just SO CUTE (and then looks so disappointed). I believe you’re right. I think EVERYONE has gone through this. I remember killing TONS of cultist in Icecrown wondering why I wasn’t getting any credit for killing them…

I have absolutely done this. The only redeeming factor is that it’s happened only a handful of times. The most recent, though, was when I was on my (then) Tauren warrior – she was being played on Sentinels, where many of the wowbloggers are guilded in . There was a fun run coordinated for AQ and I had already accepted an invite to the raid. “Just let me finish this quest, then I’ll be otw!” I needed the one quest to level, then I could train and be just that much less of an aggro monkey while in raid.
And I just COULD. NOT. FIND. MY. DROPS! And I was just sweating it out, since I had JUST joined the guild and I didn’t want to look like a doofus in front of all my blogger peers. (Stupid, I know.) Well, it took me about 10 minutes to figure out what it was, then train and catch a summons. I told a friend and we laughed, but I felt SO stupid about it, haha.
I’ve done it more times than I care to admit -_-!

I tried to pick up a bottle of wine for about 20 minutes in the dalaran cooking shop one day. I was “this” close to submitting a ticket to a gm before I realized I was still n a raid!

Yes you did draw the cutest raptor ever! That happened to me once when doing the oracle quest for the shinies. In this case, the shinies did sparkle after being dug up by the murloc, and it would start the loot channeling but I wouldn’t get anything. : <
OMG, that would drive me NUTS! At least when I did it, the eggs wern’t sparkly at all, but to HAVE them sparkle and STILL not be able to pick it up? Knowing my track record, I’d have paged a GM before I figured that one out!

Oh, I just have to add that I love the fact that Fyreuni lifts up her arms trying to present the egg to the baby raptor. That is just great. I also think the raptor looks a bit irritated at her for not giving him the food each time. Poor little guy!
That same thing has happened to me a couple times before, but I think that’s not as bad as this one time. My friend and I were leveling some toons on a new server, and when he went afk, I made the party into a raid group. His reaction on vent as to why he couldn’t do anything was priceless.
