Hello everyone! hurray! There is a comic up again! This comic idea was given to me by a fan, probably over a year ago now! I loved it so much, but I never found time to actually DRAW it because I knew it would be a bigger one, but finally! Here it is! Thanks so much to Leland, who came up with the original idea! :D
I know I took a lot of time off and that I’m sure a lot of you are mad, or won’t come here again (but if that were the case, you wouldn’t see this anyway, so I don’t know…) I needed some time away from things. And I know I’ve said that before, but I guess I needed an extended break. Lots of things have been going on lately and I want to share them! Click for lots of news!
First of all, and most importantly, on Feb 4, 2012, Vas officially asked me to marry him! ^_^ I said yes, of course! Vas and I have known each other for about 7 years now, and have been through a lot together, and he’s even flown halfway across the world for me. Even when I was dating someone else, I felt as though Vas was my soulmate. It took me a long time to really realize it for sure, and I wish it hadn’t. But we’ve decided to spend our lives together come hell or high water now! I couldn’t be happier, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him! We make a great team! ^_^
So yeah! We don’t have any plans as of yet, we’re trying to iron out a few things first (like figuring out how to get citizenship and if he wants to come here or I want to go there), but we’re confident it will all work out in the end.
Now, as for the comic, its a catch 22 right now. I finished my animation contract so I have a lot more time to draw things like the comic, however it turns out my Guild has decided to stop raiding probably until the next expansion comes out. Most of us migrated over to SWOTR (including me) although we don’t think its permanent. We all still love WoW, just a little bored with it at the moment. Unfortunately it means my number one source of comic ideas is kaput for a while! I still have a list of a few I can do, but I dunno! Its going to be a bit tough for a bit I think! I’ll do my best!
ALSO! Since I DO have more time to draw, YES! I WILL BE OPENING COMMISSIONS! I’m going to do so later this week, so keep an eye on the DQ twitter to be the first to know when its going to happen. Keep in mind, I’m going to be doing it through the DQ Store and commissions WILL be limited.
Other than that, I’m gearing up to go to the Calgary Comic Expo again this year! Going to have a few new items to sell as well as prints. I’ll be in the Small Press area this time, but super close to the Webcomics area too, so I’m excited! I hope to see a lot of you there too! Come by and say Hi! ^_^

Congrats from a crazy CanAmerican fan! Marrying someone from another country is a huge step – I would know. I’m originally from BC, married an American soldier and am now experiencing crazy Texas heat. Immigration paperwork is CRAZY both ways, lots of frustration but a lot of laughs with some of the crazy things you get asked! Be prepared for lots of “Is this for real?!” moments ^_^ Also – Smuggler FTW ^.~

Blue skin, short black hair, tight uniform… sniper rifle… Nothing is cooler than a Chiss sniper. Plus Intelligence has the coolest ships around.
Well I just hopes for some expansion with space combat closer to “simulator” rather then arcade rail shooter… Imperial Grand Admiral white uniform would be nice:D

Becoming a resident (citizenship doesn’t come until later usually) isn’t too hard if you do it through a fiancee visa, though it does require some paperwork in most cases. (I cannot say how it is in Canada, but I went through that process in the US) Just don’t try to cheat the system and get all your governmental paperwork done ahead of time.
Congrats on the wedding! I hope you two live a long happy life together. and I’m sure that will be easy having known each other so long!

As for the strip – well, if you’re not in the right head-space and do a rubbish job, you’ll always beat yourself up over it afterwards. Better to get right and do it right the first time.
And as for the strip you gave us? Well worth the wait (pun not intended!) in my opinion.

Two of my frieds decided to have a wedding too… sometime in september :D since the girl is rather fond of Star wars I am toying with idea of making sure Darth Vader “imperial march” tune will play when she will go to the altar… just not sure how to acomplish it yet

Talk to both the priest and the church’s music director. If you explain about her love of the movies they might go along. At the very least try for the closing song. Don’t makt it a deal breaker, you can always use it for the reception!

I rather think it would be easier to persuade the other friend (one she wants to marry) to pull it off… I just do not think most of their families will apreciate it and o not really wish trouble… I hate this complexity… one really needs some fun even in the “important” things in life.
I remember reading of a “Star Wars”-themed wedding (the couple were big fans of the films). The groom was dressed as a Jedi, the bride as Princess Leia (the original white costume, not the slave girl one… Hr-hmm…) and the father of the bride gave her away dressed as Darth Vader. I’m not sure, but they may have had the ‘Imperial March’ in there somewhere, too…
No good, my friend is Imperial by hearth… but I see it… guests in stormtrooper uniforms, Palpatine officiating, her father would make decent Vader with voice… (though J.E. Jones will never be matched) And well they could be Leia and Han…
Well… if I ever find girl to marry me hope she will like Star wars :D Though I would go for Grand admiral white uniform, blue makeup and red contacts… Chiss forever :D

Congratulations. Too bad he didn’t wait 10 more days, then it would have been more romantic…or more corny. Hard to tell. Also, if your guild is looking for a server, try Dreshdae Cantina. It’s pve and has a light population and I know at least two other guilds that have transferred over from wow. The one I’m currently in is one and pretty much defunct at the moment and the other is Vae Victus. Although, from what I understand, they’ve been around since EQ.

Congratulations! Be prepared to spend in the neighborhood of $1000-1200 if he moves to Canada and goes for permanent residence. I’m an American who married a wonderful Canadian man and that’s about how much it cost for me to apply as his spouse from inside Canada. Count on it taking 2 months to get his letter of “no this man is not a criminal” from the FBI, which is necessary for the paperwork. It took 11 months from sending paperwork off to be approved for permanent residence. I think you have to have lived in Canada for 4 years to be eligible for citizenship, but I’m not -totally- certain on that. I don’t know if I’ll ever go for citizenship, but I AM a Permanent Resident at least. Got my healthcard and everything. :D
No idea what’s involved in moving from Canada to the US!
