The Evolution of Void Zones

Alright! So how many of you can honestly tell me you didn’t do this as a kid, pretended certain tiles were safe, and the rest was some horrbile death if you stepped on it. Particularly when your Mom dragged you to the mall and you didn’t want to go! Who knew we were all just preparing ourselves for the Void Zone mechanic in WoW! Too bad some of us still have issues with winning that game!

This is another Milestone comic, as it is the 25th one! Next achievement unlocked at 50! Again, sorry its been so late lately, but I guess those crossed fingers all you guys did last week worked! I did get another freelance job. Its an “as needed” character design gig, so its right up my alley. I’m hoping things will get really busy over there and they will just send a bunch of stuff my way! :D Anyway, not much else to say this week, so have a great weekend everyone!

Last week we discussed the evolution of the Twilight’s Hammer clan and its transformation from a venerated clan of the Old Horde into the dark, dangerous Twilight Cult it is today, and in so doing we briefly discussed what can be considered the clan’s, and indeed the cult’s, political figurehead.

His rise to power was a dubious one; installed by the Shadow Council as the chieftan of a clan whose name has been long lost to the histories of the Horde in place of a murdered chieftan whose name is equally unlikely to ever be spoken again.  He is the first two-headed ogre of his generation:  Cho’gall. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

The warforged clans of Draenor and the Orcish Horde have a bright if violent history.  From them were born the heroes and villains of the past, baptized in blood and fire, carrying colorful banners that served as badges of triumph and honor.  Despite their unity within the Horde, the Clans of the First and Second Wars were fiercely loyal to their own glory; to their own ambitions, and those ambitions varied as dramatically as the menacing names and banners that flew over their heads.

There were clans like the Shattered Hand, led by Chieftan Kargath Bladefist, which performed ritual self mutilations as a rite of passage before becoming battle worthy within the clan.  The Black Tooth Grin, led by Rend and Maim Blackhand, was known for its tradition of violently removing a tooth from each new recruit as a show of force and loyalty.  Then there were other clans like the Warsong, revered for the prowess in battle and their fierce battlecries or the Bonechewers, renowned for their cannibalistic nature.  Clan agendas varied from the preservation of the Horde, to dying in mortal combat, but of them all there is one clan that has evolved beyond its tribal roots, and under the rule of the once Ogre-Mage Cho’gall, it means to deliver Azeroth to the primal fury of the Old Gods and their twisted champion; the Twilight’s Hammer Clan. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

This week, amidst the confusion and data loss of an emergency server migration, we’re bringing you something new in lieu of the scheduled comic.  Don’t worry! We’re not canceling the comic, we just have to shuffle the schedule a little bit this week.  In what we hope becomes a regular article from one of the original Kingslayers, Ararat of Blood Legion, Daily Quests give you The Lich King:  An account of the final encounter in Icecrown Citadel.

We all know who he is.  But does he live up to his namesake?  Upon the frozen throne of Icecrown Citadel, raiders finally have a chance to overthrow Arthas Menethil.  The One True King of Azeroth

Thanks guys, for your patience and understanding!  Daily Quests should be up and error free now, and shortly I’ll be in bed and sleeping it all off.  If you get an error that corrects itself upon refreshing, try and ignore it–those may or may not continue until I get an opportunity to switch server hosts in the next few days.  Thanks again, and enjoy Daily Quests!

Supervas out!
